 | 'The team and I wanted to say a huge thank you to Heather Roth & the Barbican team for your wonderful efforts. From our many conversations and emails about the event, we've thoroughly appreciated you taking the stress out of all the planning. We've genuinely been bowled over by how very welcoming and accommodating you and the team have been. It certainly made our life that much easier. We'll definitely be recommending the Barbican to all of our colleagues!' Penny Mairoudhiou, a PR agency
'Such a good experience last time with excellent event management. Sarah Wray, again, made running the event a far more streamlined and relaxed experience than at other venues by pre-planning and organising every detail. We were very pleased.' Jocelyn Stevens, Media Trust
‘Thank you to the Barbican for all your help. The event was a great success, and we have had so much positive feedback from guests. The food and staff were excellent.’ Marina Covelé, Dorsey & Whitney (Europe) LLP
‘I just wanted to say thank you to everyone at the Barbican for helping to make our event such a success – without your hard work, things would have been a lot harder our end! It was great working with the Barbican team.’ Samantha Gunston, Events Manager, The Horticultural Trades Association
'We were thrilled to hold the annual meeting and winter party for the Greater London Group of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations at the Barbican, using the Conservatory Terrace for the reception and Cinema 3 for the business part. The Barbican events team were terrific; they made it very easy for us. They were totally professional and also very friendly and helpful. Instead of being a bit of a hassle, the organisation from our side was a very pleasant, relaxed experience. The catering was superb too. Our guests loved it.' Cherry Chappell, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and committee member of the Greater London Group.
“Thanks again for all your help with the Ceremonies - they all went smoothly and were a great success” Open University, Apr 2011
"This is just a quick note to let you know how impressed I was with the way in which your events manager Paul Willett dealt with all our requirements for our graduation ceremony at the Barbican Centre on March 15.
Ours was no ordinary event, in that it attracted a full house of students and guests from across the world, and for the first time we also did a live webcast, which I am pleased to say has been viewed by over 200,000 people. It was not an easy project to accommodate into what was already a very packed event, and having said that we only decided to do the webcast the week before the event. However, I have to say that Paul Willett helped tremendously with his ‘can do’ attitude and without his input we would not have been able to achieve this level of success.
I appreciate that I am generally demanding as I want all my events to be the very best, but this year the demands were greater than ever before. It was really good to work with Paul Willett, because he is able to share in my vision of the event and help make it happen – something, which in my view, not all event managers can do so closely from a clients perspective.
From my end, everyone was delighted with the results. I therefore thought it worthwhile to take time out and feedback to you. By the way we did meet at the Barbican last year.
We now look forward to holding our event at the Barbican Centre in 2011."
